Forensics & Expert Witness

Forensic Architectural Investigation and Standard of Care

When disputes demand deep technical insight, we deliver clear, credible, and independent answers. Our forensic practice evaluates building envelope failures, moisture intrusion, and construction defects in support of complex claims and litigation. What makes our analysis different is that our principal has stood on both sides of the contract: as Architect of Record and as the general contractor delivering the work. We know where failures actually originate because we have been responsible for preventing them from every seat at the table.

CORE CAPABILITIES

  • Building Envelope Diagnostics — identifying root causes of moisture ingress and facade failure.

  • Standard of Care Peer Review — assessing architectural performance against the professional standard.

  • Litigation Support & Expert Witness — authoritative technical reports and testimony for construction disputes.

  • Code Compliance Auditing — evaluating physical assets against ADA and life-safety requirements.

  • Code, Life-Safety & ADA Injury Cases — consulting and testifying expert in accidents and injuries where building code violations, egress failures, stair and guardrail deficiencies, or accessibility barriers are at issue.

  • Insurance Claim Causation & Scope — independent investigation of damage origin, extent, and repair scope in support of property claims, including disputed claims.

We do not accept every engagement. Before taking a matter, we evaluate whether the technical facts support the position we are asked to examine, and we decline to take those that do not. An expert's value rests entirely on independence: our conclusions are the same regardless of who retains us, and that is precisely why they hold up under cross-examination. Engagements are accepted on a selective basis.
